SSG David Keller
U.S. Army Disabled
David Keller is a former United States Army Reserve Staff Sergeant with a distinguished career of service to his country. He was first called to active duty in support of Operation Noble Eagle in October of 2004 and was deployed to Texas. Following this deployment, he was sent to Kuwait to assist in shiploads and equipment convoys to Baghdad, Iraq. David served for a total of 24 months on active duty and then returned to the United States to work with armored cars and a specialized anti-terrorism unit contracted to Homeland Security to secure vessels in US seaports.
David's exceptional service record led to his deployment to Afghanistan in 2008, where he ran air operations on FOB Sharana for Task Force Storm and 425 BSB. He was quickly promoted to Staff Sergeant and was responsible for leading rotary-wing operations alongside specialized air teams, rangers, infantry, special operations task force, and sustainment command. His outstanding performance and flawless execution of his essential mission earned him the Meritorious Service Medal.
In 2015, David returned to active duty for two years at Joint Base Lewis McChord, where he worked in Command and Control for the national Chemical Response Enterprise, training and preparing units for deployment in case of a nuclear, chemical, or biological attack on the United States. During his time in this role, David proved that he could deploy the task force in under 48 hours to any location in the lower 48 Continental United States.

After his time on active duty, David started his trucking company, where he still drives to this day. In his spare time, he is a passionate advocate for pairing dogs with veterans and plans to dedicate his full attention to this cause after retirement. David's unwavering service and dedication to his country and his fellow veterans are a true inspiration to us all.
